You might want to use the restroom before you read this post

 Rome on a pretty day...
...makes eating lunch near a fountain a really great photo opp.
...inspires art that makes me wish it were summer time.
...creates pretty clouds.
...makes ruins look like they were meant to be ruined. (and suicide kitty's playground)
...still makes me want to shoot my feet off.
...is not as near as cool as seeing where Peter and Paul were imprisoned.

Lessons I learned in Rome...
1. Every church you enter will be colder than the arctic temperature outside
2. Flat Emery is not as good as Real Emery. I miss that little pup.
3. Making wishes at the Trevi Fountain does not work... aka I still haven't see a Jamba Juice!
4. Courtney cannot be trusted to be photogenic.  I am not allowed to put up the real picture that proves this.
5. The Trevi Fountain is a great place to spend an afternoon.

Peter and Paul...
...are 239480293 feet tall.
...were probably right about 6 feet tall.
...are righteous men who knew and loved Christ.
...have taught me so much about being a follower of Christ.

Here is Pompei. Check it out. The dandelion was my favorite part. I am ready for Spring time.

Wearing a scarf for a dress...
...is really comfortable, cozy when you take a bus ride along the Amlafi Coast.
...allows for easy packing, baby!
... can be tricky to assemble, but oh so worth it.

Mamie Hudson-- your present is seriously the greatest possible thing I could have brought to Europe with me! Thank you so much!

So to all my wonderful friends and family-- I miss you dearly! And love you greatly.  I have been out of touch because of our travels, but promise to spend this week catching up with emails and facebook messages.

He's my valentine!! Isn't he the cutest!! I am the luckiest girl in the world!!

You may be wondering...

...Tyne what is your excuse for not blogging this week?  And I would reply, I am sick. (Boo)  This is the sickest I have been all year.  I won't go into details, but I will say that is consists of greenness and general congestion.  Sick out!

As for this week.  Here's the sitch.

Monday and Tuesday- General school days.
Wednesday- We visited Florence.  Another great day.
Thursday- We visited a very modern church outside of Florence.  Want pictures?  Whoops I forgot my camera.
Thursday night- Went to bed at like 10.
Friday- Worked on travel plans.
Saturday- Went to Cortono which is a blog in itself, but unfortunately I can't let my mom know what happened.
Sunday- is today.

Hopefully, I will not be sick much longer.
Also, I want to give a shout out to Impact 2011!! I wish I could have been there for pass back, and I very much miss all my counselors, prayer teamers, cochairs, and executives.  I can't wait to see what God has in store for this semester!! I hope everyone has a smooth rev night, and no one flips out during theres. (Me last year)  A quick shout out to Allison Rose-  whoever is in Omega Simeon--- you have the greatest cochair everrrr!!!! And same to those in Harrison Luke's camp.

Well, I don't know how to say this...

I have decided to quit doing the 30 for 30 challenge on my blog.  I know, I know.  I only lasted 4 days.  I will be doing it in spirit, but the whole taking pictures, editing pictures, and trying to get internet here is pretty exhausting...I would rather play.  So thanks for sticking with me thus far, all six of you!

Nothing much to report here.  Sunday was a lovely, lazy day.   A group of us sat and watched Breakaway together.  A few of us had a picnic (it took me eight tries to spell picnic right just now) , I did laundry in my sink, and I passed out around ten or eleven oclock.  I think I am getting sick.  Well, tonight I will be working in studio so don't be too excited!

Love you.

Day 3 and Day 4

Dress: ShopRuche
Sweater: Gap
Belt: Charlotte Russe
Tights: Target
Boots: Anthropologie
Necklace: Gift

Shirt: Anthropologie
Cardigan: H&M
Jeans: Levi's Outlet
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Belt: Thrifted

So it turns out, that getting up at 7:30 on a Sunday morning is a pretty good time to use the internet :) I finally got to put up pictures for KendiEveryday's 30 for 30.
So this week, I bought a pretty coat.  Isn't it quite lovely? My first Italy purchase.  I know part of the 30 for 30 challenge is the not shopping part; however, there is clearly an exemption for us in foreign countries. Thanks Taylor for the coat! I think you might have some competition for my affection. And it clearly looks like I am obsessed with myself in these photos, but it was so tough to pick because Kelsey Ray is just such a good photographer and the landscape is so pretty.

The internet here...

is not so great.  At all.  Only four people at a time have access to the web... That is why, you aren't getting a ton of blog lovin' from me these days.  And posting pictures-- even harder.  I thought I would update this with just what I have been up to for my friends and family.

This last weekend, a couple of us boarded a train for Arezzo for an antique fair.  If all the old, used stuff did not cost 100 euro plus than maybe I would have returned with a neat brooch or old lighter.  Oh well, better save my money for other things.  We had pizza and walked around a bit then headed back.

After we returned, most people retreated to their rooms for a siesta.  I was too riled up after traveling so Olivia and I went to the courtyard where we read our Bibles and Joe even joined us and played his guitar.

Later that evening, a few of us played some games in our room.  Living in this place, reminds me of living on campus, where your friends are just a few steps away.  All in all, a good time.

Well, that was yesterday.  I have homework and such to do today, and maybe a nap to fit in their somewhere.  Who knows?
Anyway, to my friends and family that I have done a horrible job catching up with and keeping informed, especially Mom and Noelle, I am so sorry.  Hopefully, our internet will be improved after some necessary complaining from us students.  I love you all very much and I think about you often.  Mom, I am taking lots of photos, and being on my best behavior.  Noelle, I keep you in mind especially when I was at H&M last Wednesday.  Expect a really good present from myself. And I love you.  Maybe I should have said that first. You too, Mom. To my friends, I miss you all greatly.  Don't have too much fun without me.  And Beth, I heard you had the flu.  Get better please! We need to skype asap.

Well, that is all for now.  Ciao and I love you!

Firenze- Lost in the City

Cardigan: Express
Collared Shirt: Forever 21
Shirt: Forever 21
Jeans: Urban Outfitters
Boots: Buffalo Exchange
Beads: Forever 21
I wondered off from the group to get these shots.  It was terrifying, but thank goodness for being stranded with Kelsey and Mai.  Don't worry, Mom, we were fine. We were safe in Santa Croce- one of our visits today.  Just a typical thing for me to do. Whoops.

Just a collage of many travels today.  It was quite lovely.  If you are wondering why I am holding a puppy drawing, well, that's flat Emery, Taylor's puppy.  Ever heard of flat Stanley? That's the idea.  Taylor challenged me to do it in the journal he sent with me, and so there it is! Well, it is very late, so I have no wit or personality to add to this blog tonight.  Except we did find H&M.  It was a miracle.  I saw someone carrying an H&M bag from away and made a bee line to ask her where it was located.  Such a great day.

Places we traveled today: To be determined when I have correct spellings and names.

Castiglion Fiorentino - This is home

Hey friends! Here is the little town I live in.  This really doesn't do any justice and truthfully I am not even sure why I chose these pictures.  I need to get on the ball with taking pictures! Also, these are my roommates Courtney and Olivia.

Enjoy this interview with Olivia & Courtney
Me: What is your favorite thing about living with me? :)
Olivia: Being able to toot freely and being gigglebugs.
Courtney: My great sense of humor
Me: What do you as see as being a problem?
Olivia: Suicide Kitty (The rouge cat that lives outside our window.)

WARNING: EXERCISE CAUTION!

Tomorrow I will be in Florence! Or Firenze. Think warm thoughts! It's been pretty snippy.
Ciao!
