Say hello to Taylor and Emery!
Hello.
Emery is a dirty and happy girl who in these picture was just leaving the dog park. She is still learning how to be a good girl on a leash thus the hardness. She is the sweetest of all dogs. She has lots of energy and can be hard to control, but she is a big smiler and loves giving kisses.
She also looks like her mother in the bottom picture, smiling with her eyes closed.
She warms my heart right up.

Self Portrait: In Progress
Now here's a work in progress. The project is to take an image of ourselves and create a self portrait using only typography. I am using fairy tale stories adhering to certain parts of my face. (Rapunzel-hair and Pinocchio-nose) You are catching my drift. I am in serious need of eyes. And cheeks. And a neck. It is due Monday, so I better get going.
Morning, folks! Last night/this morning we had crazy storms and a tornado watch/warning. Needless to say, I skipped out on my 9:10 class which is Digital Photography. I thought I would post this to redeem myself. Meet Alison and Dan! These two cuties came with lots of great ideas for their engagement shoot, and it was a total blast to shoot them. The top photo with the century tree had me swoon. I will have to figure out a way to Photoshop me into that picture with my future somebody.
I am wearing 2 size too big for me rain boots today that always promise a trip. Wish me luck people.
Happy Humpday!

I should explain a few things to my readers, aka Jeleah. This blog is supposed to follow my personal journey of getting acquainted with photography, graphic design, maybe some cooking (MAYBE) and I guess some other artistic ventures. I am 22, still young, but feel like I am just now finding my interests.
So.... some of my posts will be about my life and some will just be posts of some of the things I am working on.
Onto the pictures! This girl started it all. My old roommate, Audrey, and her fiance, Josh, are getting married in March. I took some of their engagement pictures to practice with my new camera (and when I say new, I mean bought off a friend). It turned out- I LOVED it. Pure fun. And then I really enjoyed working in Photoshop. Aren't they the hottest stuff?
Please know, that I in no way claim to be a professional even though I have a very professional watermark. Looks pretty good, doesn't it? Tracking, people, tracking.

Houston Marathon
The strongest, both mentally and physically, women I know ran in the Houston Marathon a couple weekends ago. While some of us rocked a little-over-a-mile-run (not bragging or anything), Amy and Noelle put the world to shame by running 26.1 miles in 4:31:something. Michael ran an amazing 13.1 miles in right over 2 hours. He's the sane one out of the three of them (only in terms of running distances).
I am so proud of them for their intense discipline and perseverance! It makes me want to set a goal of my own, so I have opted for an achievable 5K, ladies and gentlemen, The WARRIOR DASH! This is the most pumped I have ever felt about running, ever.
On a side note, I had the most encouraging and heart-warming conversation with Jeleah tonight about her mission trip to Malawi. A little less than two months until Cambodia. So much is in store for this semester, and I can hardly stand it.

My brother
He is just too handsome for words. I received a 50 mm lens for Christmas, in which I convinced my little brother to act as a stand-in model. His catch- just don't show anyone. Whoops! My older sister love just wants to show off my brother. Don't feel too bad for him, he got homemade pizza for his efforts!
Wish me luck as I continue to revise and organize my blog. I have so much more respect for all the bloggers I follow who do this consistently and post amazing stuff each time.
