This was going to be a post about packing but instead...

... I started playing games with my clothes!! One dress in particular caught my attention, and I decided to see how many outfits I could make with it.  As of late, I have been trying to spice up what I wear.  The high school Tyne (and even freshman and sophomore Tyne) would have been ok with this simple but lovely dress.  She would have also reworn it in this exact way anytime she wore it. (Maybe with a necklace or some sort of thing in her hair)

Next step: pretty basic.  What if it chilly?  Add a cardigan! And a belt for good measure.  Belts placed in the right spot do miracles for pear shaped ladies (me). Moving on...

 Now I am about to get really fancy on you! Because I am going to turn my dress into a skirt! How dare you?! I know, I'm a menace! I layered a lacy top over the top of the dress.  I tried all these things on myself to make sure it looked pretty and well proportioned before you think I am one of those crazy Forever 21 employees who just LAYER mannequins with 34% of the inventory. (Sidenote: Forever 21 employees, I love you so much.  You have the hardest job in retail.)  The top is actually a bit long for this dress so I bunched it up and hid the folded bits underneath this rather large belt.

Next step was really a no brainer, but this cool jacket doesn't get nearly as much love as it should.  Mostly, because whenever I put it on I ask myself, "Tyne, do you really think you are cool enough to pull of this leather imitation?"  The response is always a no.  But hey, in Europe, they are like required.

You might be saying, this is all good and fun but what if I am not into the lacy, frilly thing you adore.  Well, I would say to you, "How does a baggy frocket (front pocket shirt- thanks Marissa Lang) sound to you? More Sporty Spice I'd say.

Now throw on some tights--black or brown, or grey or pink or yellow.  And these are my shoe options. Where are the heals? Well, I am not bringing any to Europe... I just am thinking logically.  If I haven't worn a pair since college, I am thinking living in a place where I walk everywhere won't tempt me into bringing some.
